Soma Practice Offerings
Soma STRONG
Soma STRONG is a 45-minute energising movement practice that blends Pilates-inspired shapes, breathwork, and somatic techniques. It’s designed to help release built-up energy in the body, ease muscular tension, and support stress relief—gently preparing your nervous system for deeper rest.
Each class begins and ends with grounding practices to help you settle into your body. You'll move through a mix of pace—gentle cardio, isometric holds, and fluid transitions—that support strength, mobility, and heart rate variability. The focus is on moving with embodied awareness, staying connected to your breath and how your body feels, gently shifting attention from thinking to sensing.
Soma STRONG is open to all bodies and levels. Modifications and rest are always welcome, so you can move in a way that feels right for you.

Soma SOFT
Soma SOFT is a 45-minute restorative movement practice designed to help regulate your nervous system and bring you into deep rest. This nurturing class combines somatic exercises, gentle tension-release techniques, Pilates-inspired mobility, and grounding practices to soothe both body and mind.
Through slow, intentional movement, soft stretches, and trauma-aware breathwork, you’ll be guided into a calm, restful state. Each session invites your body to soften, your breath to deepen, and your nervous system to settle—creating space to unwind, reset, and reconnect with yourself.
Soma SOFT pairs beautifully with the more active Soma STRONG class or stands as a soothing practice on its own. It’s open to all bodies and experience levels, with plenty of options and gentle guidance to meet your needs.

FAQs
-
Embodied movement is the practice of being fully present in your body as you move. It’s about tuning into your inner landscape—becoming aware of your breath, the rhythm of your heart, your body temperature, how your muscles contract and release, and how your body moves through space. Rather than focusing on how movement looks, embodied movement invites you to feel into the experience of being a living, breathing, sensing body in motion.
-
Somatic movement takes us a layer deeper. It uses movement to connect with and understand how our emotions live in the body. Our feelings are often stored in our muscles, tissues, and bones—and somatic movement helps us bring gentle awareness to these internal experiences.
It can support nervous system regulation, emotional expression, and the release of held tension.
Through somatic movement, we create space to move what we feel and reconnect with ourselves in a meaningful, embodied way. -
The word Soma comes from Ancient Greek and means “living body.” In our movement classes, we explore somatic techniques designed to support and nourish the body from within. The intention is that, as a participant, you’ll build a repertoire of exercises that can support you beyond the studio. Soma Practice was created to share simple, daily body-based practices that help you care for your Soma—your living, breathing body.
-
Just bring your Soma! Mats and small props are provided. The space includes bathrooms, drinking water, and areas to change and store your belongings.
In the warmer months, we recommend bringing a small towel. For Soma SOFT classes, which involve deep nervous system regulation, it’s common for body temperature to drop—so you might want to bring an extra layer that’s comfortable to move in.
-
Yes! We welcome every Soma—every body, every experience level. Both classes offer layered exercises to suit all abilities, with each movement offered as an invitation, not an expectation.
Led by Jodi, an experienced and intuitive movement facilitator, the classes are accessible to all bodies. Options and modifications are always available, with plenty of space for rest and self-guided pacing, so you can meet yourself exactly where you are.
