Education & Events

Workshops

From seasonal group movement classes to nervous system education for individuals, teams, and organisations, Soma Practice workshops and events offer accessible, body-based learning to support regulation, resilience, and reconnection with your living, sensing body.

Facilitated by Jodi, a qualified Somatic Therapist and Pilates Instructor, sessions are trauma-aware, evidence-informed, and tailored to the people in the room — whether that's a community group exploring somatic practice for the first time, or a team building practical tools for stress and focus at work.

Drawing on her experience hosting workshops with La Trobe University and health organisations such as Access Health Community and Holstep Health, Jodi offers a grounded, accessible, and practical approach to workplace wellbeing.

“Jodi has a wonderful gift for creating spaces that feel safe, playful, and genuinely explorative, where participants are invited to get curious about their bodies rather than fear them.

Her trauma-informed, gentle approach fostered a beautiful sense of connection within the group. I would enthusiastically recommend Jodi to anyone seeking a creative, compassionate, and evidence-informed movement experience"

— Nicole, Senior Pain Physiotherapist at Holstep Health

“Jodi builds a sanctuary throughout the class.

A space where deep learning, listening and body intuition can be felt understood and integrated throughout the class with ease”

  • "I attended a Soma Practice workshop with my team and found it incredibly beneficial.

The interactive elements and clear instructions made the content engaging and helpful. The workshop energised the team and taught us how our body reacts to stress, how we can release built-up stress by adjusting our body, movement and breath.

I highly recommend and encourage teams to attend together”

    - Cathy, La Trobe University

  • “Thank you so much for such a supportive session. I’ve received lots of positive feedback from staff including the well-balanced structure of the session, your ability to hold space for everyone and benefit of the grounding practices—many felt energised.

Thank you for your kindness and care”

    - Katherine, Access Health & Community
